AutoVu Sharp License Plate Recognition Camera

The AutoVu Sharp is an IP-based License Plate Recognition (LPR) camera of the AutoVu system. With the AutoVu Sharp, you get advanced digital video processing, superior plate reading performance, and industrial grade durability.

This license plate recognition camera is available for both fixed and mobile installations. And, the AutoVu Sharp functions over an IP network. So you get live-monitoring capabilities of all units out in the field. Having a camera and a processor in the AutoVu Sharp makes it a compact LPR solution. This also means it is really easy for you to install.

Benefits

Unsurpassed Reading Accuracy

You get the highest accuracy rate in the industry with the AutoVu Sharp. It boasts unequalled precision as it automatically reads license plates of vehicles parked in parallel, or at 45 or 90 degrees. The AutoVu Sharp can even capture license plates of moving vehicles. With high readability rates, you know every vehicle you pass is being captured.

High-Speed Plate Capture

The AutoVu Sharp captures license plates from vehicles moving at differential speeds of up to 140 MPH (225 km/h). It does not matter if the camera is mounted over roads or on a speeding law enforcement vehicle. Unlawful drivers will have difficulty escaping the the AutoVu Sharp.

Extensive Field of View

A single AutoVu Sharp LPR camera has the ability to read license plates spanning two lanes of traffic. The AutoVu Sharp doubles your reach and therefore, your productivity.

Fixed and Mobile Installations

Install the AutoVu Sharp in fixed applications for wanted vehicle identification, audit trail, access control, or for revenue control. Or put it on your vehicle for law enforcement wanted-vehicle identification or parking enforcement.

International Plate Reading Support

The AutoVu system can accommodate many different license plate shapes and formats. This device meets unsurpassed accuracy, regardless of the license plate style.

In-Camera GPS Option

The AutoVu Sharp camera is available with built-in GPS option. In mobile LPR applications where the camera is not connected to the AutoVu in-vehicle software, this GPS option will allow you to tag records with GPS information including both location and time. In fixed LPR applications, you can use GPS timestamps to calculate a vehicle’s speed by knowing the distance between two license plate reads.

Environmentally Friendly

The AutoVu Sharp was designed to function with the greatest efficiency. This means your LPR camera will only consume 26W of power, reducing operational temperatures and increasing the life of your investment. This also makes the AutoVu Sharp very environmentally friendly.
