Security Industry Standards

Genetec’s advanced security solutions  have always been built as open architecture systems. This allows customers to optimize a combination of our solutions, choose their preferred brand of hardware or leverage previous hardware and infrastructure investments.

As extensions to the Genetec solution, the ONVIF interface is supported. This industry standardization protocol offers a generic way for partners to integrate with our advanced security solutions. Network industry standards are implemented to speed up integration in security applications and enable interoperability between systems regardless of manufacturer. Installers will be able to select best-of-breed solutions for specific applications, secure in the knowledge that the application can find the device and communicate with it over the network.
