Genetec Extends Its Product Offering with Professional Services
Montreal, Canada, January 26, 2010 - Genetec™, announced today the launch of a new Professional Services Department to complement its innovative suite of IP-based security and public safety solutions. The department aims to provide customers with value-added and custom-tailored options for additional support in the management, engineering and personnel training of small to large-scale installations, amongst so much more.
Specifically, Genetec's professional services department will provide four main offerings: the currently available technical solutions training, and three new initiatives including field service and project engineering, deployment project management and custom solutions development. Although these services have been previously offered on a per-request basis, through the creation of this new department, Genetec is formally introducing these services to all of its customers so that they may benefit from more efficient deployments, enhanced solution capabilities and optimal usage of the solutions.
Briefly, technical training services are offered for all products and for customers with a varied level of technical experience and can be customized to meet specific needs and objectives. Such services allow customers to become familiar with the ins and outs of all Genetec solutions, keep up to date on product upgrades or learn how to use Genetec's software development kits to create custom applications.
Field service and project engineers can be contracted from Genetec to be of assistance on projects that have elaborate system requirements. Customers can also request field service and project engineering services for new system implementation, system health assessments, technical consulting or onsite troubleshooting.
Deployment project management services offer customer one single point of contact at Genetec for all their needs. Therefore, if a customer is looking to speak with a software development specialist or to book an appointment with a field service engineer, their dedicated project manager can arrange all of it.
Finally, custom solutions development services help customers align their specific business processes and workflows with Genetec's solutions, allowing for the automation of tasks and the ability to get more out of the system. Assistance with SDK design is also an option here.
