Network Device Management
The AMG Network Device Management Integration allows for simple visibility and control over key functions within managed AMG devices allowing security operators to perform day to day monitoring and management tasks from a single pane of glass.
Main Features:
- Monitor Alarms on switches such as up down, contact closure etc
- Retrieve port and switch status within a tile view to gain insights into Network performance
- View MAC tables and ARP caches of AMG devices
- Monitor and control input, output and alarm contact closures
- Control Ports/POE to remotely reset devices out in the field

Key Market Applications
The AMG Network Device Management platforms allows users Gain visibility into the AMG network infrastructure without the need for peripheral monitoring platforms. Inherently security platforms rely on IP and ethernet networks to pin them together and a lack of visibility into these networks can prove challenging in relation to in life management and faults. By gaining some visibility into these AMG devices operators will no longer be in the dark as to where a fault has occurred in the network domain.
Features & Benefits
See the network health in real time and analyse issues within the network to enable diagnosis and minimise downtime. With helpful functions like remote port reset an operator is able to remotely reboot connected POE devices without needing access to the Network device directly. This also potentially saves on costly truck rolls to locations to reboot devices that are no longer responsive.
Further to this the platform allows control over AMG Contact closure interfaces to either monitor or control Contacts in a location in response to events occurring in real-time.
Being able to monitor and manage both security devices and the network from one device will allow for faster more accurate fault diagnosis along with a faster Repair time
Solution Architecture
The AMG Systems workspace creates and manages several custom entities as follows:-
AMG Switch (the parent entity)
AMG Port (child entity, one for each port on the switch)
AMG MAC (child entity, the MAC table)
AMG ARP (child entity, the Arp table)
AMG IOAlarm (child entity, the Input, output and Alarm contacts)
Port may be enabled and disabled via the config pages.
SNMP traps from the swicth are relayed to the Genetec Alarm Manager.
Tile Views are provided for each of the custom entities for display in Security Centre.
