Skydio Autonomous Drones

Security teams can't see everything from fixed cameras. When an incident happens outside camera coverage, or moves across a large site, operators lose sight of it and wait for someone to drive out. Skydio drones fill that gap with a live aerial view. With this integration, operators manage that view in Security Center without switching to another system.

The integration is enabled by AddOnXpert, which connects Skydio drone data to Security Center's open architecture. When a Skydio drone is deployed, its video feed routes into Security Center automatically. Its live GPS position appears on the Security Center map.

Together, the drone becomes another sensor in Security Center. Operators watch the aerial feed alongside fixed cameras, body cams and dash cams. They can rewind drone video while the flight is still going, and archive the footage for case review. Response is coordinated from the platform the team already uses.

Critical infrastructure and utilities

Substations, plants and long perimeters are too large for fixed cameras. A docked Skydio drone checks an alarm and puts aerial video on the Security Center map. Security teams can verify an alarm without sending a guard.

Corporate campuses and data centers

Security operations centers watch many sites with small teams. The drone feed shows up in the same Security Center interface as every other camera, so operators respond to more events with the staff they have.

Public safety

Agencies need eyes on a scene before officers arrive. A Skydio drone streams the scene into Security Center so dispatchers and commanders can see it next to city cameras and body cams. Responders arrive knowing what they're walking into.

Features

  • Automatic live stream routing. When a Skydio drone launches, its video appears in Security Center.

  • Rewind while flying. Operators review earlier drone footage during an active flight.

  • Evidence management. Drone footage is archived in Genetec for secure retention and case review.

  • One interface. Drone feeds sit alongside fixed cameras, body cams and dash cams.

  • Map awareness. The drone's live GPS position and video are layered on the Security Center map.

Benefits

  • Faster, better informed response. Operators see the scene before people get there.

  • Coverage beyond fixed cameras, without adding guard patrols.

  • Less console switching and training, because everything runs in Security Center.

  • Aerial evidence is kept with the rest of the case.

Solution architecture

Skydio X10 drones, flown from Skydio Dock or by a pilot, stream video and telemetry to the Skydio cloud. AddOnXpert's connector brings the live video and GPS data into Genetec Security Center. Video appears as a camera entity, location shows on the map, and recorded footage goes to evidence management.
