The Federal Identity, Credential, and Access Management (FICAM) Testing Program, also known as the FIPS 201 Evaluation Program, evaluates and certifies products used in Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credentialing systems, Physical Access Control Systems (PACS), and Public Key Infrastructures (PKIs). Certification is granted by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). 

Synergis™ is a FICAM-approved PACS solution that enables advanced authentication of government-issued credentials, such as PIV cards. The solution has been designed to comply with the security standards required by U.S. federal agencies.
