Discreet Form Factor
Choosing the AutoVu SharpX means you are getting the smallest high-resolution LPR camera on the market. Standing at 1.65 inches (42mm) tall, the AutoVu SharpX’s form factor limits light bar occlusion and is less obvious to vandals. Its clever design also offers you universal mounting for the grill, light bar, trunk or just about anywhere.
Unsurpassed Reading Accuracy
The AutoVu SharpX is built with a progressive scan sensor with 1024x946 resolution to capture plate images for analysis. This means you get better quality images with two to three times higher resolution than other solutions on the market. Despite poor lighting, bad weather, dirty plates, or difficult reading angles, you are more likely to capture the license plate of every passing vehicle, and get clear images.
Superior Night and Day Performance
No matter the time of day that you are out on patrol, you can expect quality images to help identify the make, model, and even the color of a suspect vehicle. The AutoVu SharpX is designed with a state-of-the-art color context camera to provide the best images in a variety of environmental conditions, including low-light.
Powerful and Scalable Processing
Often a mobile LPR solution includes a trunk unit with a single processor which is divided amongst the cameras. This degrades the performance of the LPR system and decreases your capture rates. With each AutoVu SharpX, you get a dedicated Intel processor, ensuring that individual camera performance will not suffer with the addition of more cameras. Multiple LPR processors also provide additional reliability. Should one processor go down, the other cameras will continue to function.
Unified within the Security Center
The AutoVu system and SharpX camera are integral parts of the Security Center, Genetec’s Unified Security Platform. This means you can easily incorporate the SharpX into a city-wide surveillance system and index LPR hits with video surveillance and access control events. Or, you can merge a stand-alone LPR system into the unified platform later on as needs arise.
