Get It All in One Security Platform

True Unification within the Security Center

The vast majority of functionalities across security systems are common. So, why are you still working with multiple independent systems?

Our unified security platform, the Security Center, is unlike anything you will ever experience. The common functionalities of license plate recognition (LPR), video surveillance and access control are merged into one easy-to-use platform.

Perform real-time monitoring, alarm management, and event reporting across all your security systems from a simple task-oriented interface. Bring in additional systems such as intrusion detection and asset management, among many more, for a unified approach to security management. Get an open solution with the high-end system availability, security and scalability features you want.

True unification within the Security Center is your most valuable option. Find out why below.

New with Security Center 5.1

Version 5.1 of our unified security platform is packed with tons of new enhancements.

Task-based configuration tool: Security Center 5.1 takes ease of use one step further by extending the same task-based approach in the Security Desk to the configuration tool. With a revamped homepage, the enhanced Config Tool makes all configuration tasks easily accessible. Both tasks and entities can be found quickly using either the search tool, the recently used items list, or your favourites list.

Forward-backward compatibility: Organizations can now upgrade their main server while leaving their client applications and other server applications at a previous version. This powerful feature facilitates system upgrades, offering additional flexibility to upgrade at your own pace. Security Center 5.1 also supports forward compatibility of its Federation feature.

Health monitoring: With real-time health monitoring of roles, client applications, edge devices and more, the new Health Monitoring engine allows administrators to proactively manage the health of their security platform. New tasks such as health history and health statistics reports provide valuable information about past and current performance of the platform.

Failover Directory: Security Center 5.1 offers an embedded Failover Directory feature for the highest level of reliability. This new feature supports a user application load balancing mechanism to ensure system load is seamlessly distributed amongst several servers.

Support of multiple Active Directory servers: The Security Center’s Active Directory integration can now handle connections to multiple Active Directory servers, making this ideal for large-scale or multi-tenant applications. Active Directory integration also extends synchronization to cardholder custom fields.

Uninterrupted video streaming: Even if the Directory or other critical roles become unavailable, video continues to stream to the Security Desk. Uninterrupted video streaming offers you continuous access to your cameras regardless of the system’s current health status.

Auxiliary Archiver: The Auxiliary Archiver presents complimentary functionality to main Archivers. Auxiliary archiving allows organizations to record video in a remote location from cameras already being recorded by main archivers using alternate recording schedules and video quality settings.

Global cardholder management: Security Center 5.1 offers a new global cardholder management feature for synchronizing cardholders, credentials and other data between remote independent sites and a central location. Organizations can now manage their cardholder population centrally and greatly improve efficiency, while equipping cardholders with a single card for access to all facilities.

Benefits

Flexible and Scalable

The Security Center’s open and distributed architecture makes it all possible. Choose your own hardware. Optimize the use of your existing infrastructure. Grow your system one camera or door at time to hundreds or thousands of cameras or doors. Or, take your unified security platform to new heights by merging your LPR, video surveillance, and access control systems from around the world into a single large virtual system.

Simple and Easy-to-Use

Experience a unique unified security solution unlike any other. Real-time monitoring, alarm management, and event reporting from all your security systems have never been easier. Benefit from advanced entity search functions, hierarchical views, a multitude of display tile patterns and context-sensitive widgets for door, camera, alarm, and PTZ camera controls.

Reliable and Secure

Get more than features. With the Security Center you get peace of mind. Encrypted client-server communication and integration with Microsoft’s Active Directory protect against unauthorized access to your system. You can also assign rights and privileges to different sites for secure multi-tenant and multi-site functionality. And advanced failover functionality ensures you systems is always up and running.

Highly Cost-Efficient

More than a solution with cutting-edge features, the Security Center is designed to save you money. Leverage your existing hardware and infrastructure investments. Get system upgrades without the compatibility issues typically found with multi-vendor solutions. Reduce your training costs through consistent approaches and workflows across multiple security applications. Deploy fewer client workstations as multiple security applications can now be monitored from a single interface.

Features

Unified Monitoring and Configuration: The Security Desk is the unified user interface of the Security Center. Its compelling design and innovative task-based approach allow you to efficiently control and monitor multiple security and public safety applications. The unified configuration tool also helps streamline the whole configuration process for system administrators as common entities can be reused within video, LPR, and access control systems.

Distributed Client-Server Architecture: Benefit from high configuration flexibility with the Security Center. Distribute services and client applications across several servers or off-the-shelf workstations.

Scalable Multi-Site Monitoring: Unify multiple independent video and access control systems under a single virtual system with the Federation feature. Federate hundreds or thousands of remote systems for city-wide surveillance and managed central monitoring services.

Intrusion system integration: Integrate third-party intrusion panels and perimeter detection systems. Run reports on intrusion panel events or alarms, view video tied to intrusion events, and arm/disarm intrusion devices either through automated scheduled tasks or manually via the user interface.

Active Directory Integration: Connect to multiple directories and centralize the management and synchronization of Windows user accounts with the Security Center’s user and cardholder accounts. Provide single sign-on capabilities and ensure newly created Windows users automatically inherit the proper physical building access rights.

Centralized Alarm Management: Avoid the traditional approach of separate alarm monitoring applications with unsynchronized data for your different security systems. Configure, monitor and respond to alarms for your entire security environment.

Multi-Tenant Functionality: Segment operations per tenant or managed services account, and assign privileges per site with the Partioning feature. Give individual site managers or tenants their own sites to manage in parallel to any centralized monitoring.

High Availability: Get added reliability with a built-in failover mechanism and redundant archiving capabilities. A standby server can be setup and when the primary fails, the standby takes over so no data or video is lost. Use off-the-shelf industry standard failover solutions as alternatives.

Local video caching and buffering, all-frame video playback: Get faster access to recorded video as Security Center buffers video locally on the client workstation. This reduces the amount of retransmission that is typically required for video playback and thereby minimizes bandwidth usage.

Visual Tracking: Switch from one camera to an adjacent camera within a viewing tile when tracking a suspect, either in real-time or playback mode.

Genetec Software Development Kit (SDK): Integrate building management systems, enterprise resource planning systems, intrusion detection systems or develop custom business applications with the Security Center’s open SDK.

Advanced Reporting Capabilities: Generate a variety of integrated LPR, video and access control reports without the use of external third-party reporting tools.
