Synergis supports a wide variety of credential types, including proximity cards, MIFARE DESFire smart cards, biometric identifiers, PINs, license plates, and mobile credentials. Our software also supports various card formats, including FASC-N (Federal Agency Smart Credential Number), which is used in Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credentials issued by US Federal Agencies.

Synergis includes robust built-in failover at both the software and hardware levels. At the software level, you can configure a secondary server to automatically take over if the primary server goes down. On the device level, Synergis Cloud Link and Axis Powered by Genetec devices feature offline capabilities, ensuring continued access control operations locally and autonomously such as peer-to-peer communications, threat level management, I/O linking, and global antipassback, in the event of network disruptions ensuring uninterrupted operations.

Role-based access control uses identity attributes—like job title or department—to automatically manage access control. By defining provisioning policies, you can ensure that people in your organization always have up-to-date access permission levels. If an employee changes job title, department, or moves to a different site, the system automatically adjusts their access.
