Quality precision for real-time license plate location
The latest release of SharpZ3 OS is now available. This new mobile automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) release provides increased precision when it comes to vehicle geolocation, along with updated vehicle analytics and regional contexts.
Increase parking compliance with greater precision
The AutoVu™ SharpZ3 mobile ALPR cameras now offer even greater precision, thanks to improvements in their stereoscopic capabilities. First introduced in OS 13.6.1, stereoscopy uses the SharpZ3’s dual context cameras to better judge distances. With the latest firmware update (OS 13.8.0), the system now records the exact location of the license plate being read—rather than the location of the patrol vehicle. This means more accurate data for parking compliance and better enforcement in tightly managed zones.
SharpZ3 OS 13.8.0 means updated analytics and more regional contexts
In this release, the AutoVu MLC™ (Machine Learning Core) solution has been retrained to provide high accuracy results when identifying vehicle makes and models. The following regional plate contexts have also been added:
Eight Australian plate states can now be identified:
- Victoria
- New South Wales
- Tasmania
- Australian Capital Territory
- Northern Territory
- Queensland
- South Australia
- Western Australia
A variety of UAE plates in the Arabian peninsula are now recognized, including:
- Ajman
- Abu Dhabi
- Dubai
- Fujairah
- Ras Al Khaimah
- Sharjah
- Umm Al Quwain
These regional plate contexts increase accuracy when collecting plate data in these areas, whether for public safety or parking-related applications.
