Smoother day-to-day operations in Security Center 5.14.1
Security Center 5.14.1 delivers granular automations, better system visibility, and operational efficiencies at scale. We designed it to make life easier for IT and security teams handling large, complex deployments.

We’ve made updates to give you better system visibility, improved system performance, and new automation capabilities. Read on for more details.
More flexible automation
New automation capabilities help reduce false alarms, improve response workflows, and make automation workflows more granular.
“Not followed by” triggers
Sometimes, the lack of an event is what signals that something is wrong or may qualify an initial event. The “not followed by” trigger condition lets you set your system to detect when expected events don’t occur, for improved alarm accuracy.
For example, if a camera goes offline and a “unit restored” event doesn’t follow within 5 minutes, the system can trigger an alarm.
Parallel action sequences
You can now run multiple action sequences at once and define whether the automation ends after one or all sequences are completed.
For example, if a camera goes offline, a parallel sequence could be to wait 15 minutes before sending an email alert. If the camera comes back online within that timeframe, the automated email alert sequence ends.
This lessens the influx of alert emails to administrators, improves response workflows, and makes automations easier to configure.
Easier update management
The new software management inventory report gives your security and IT teams a unified view of software versions deployed across the system. This helps teams identify gaps, plan updates, and manage compatibility more effectively.
Additional reporting updates, like the ability to track federated system connections and expanded storage metrics, improve visibility and troubleshooting in complex deployments.
Faster firmware upgrades at scale
This version of Security Center adds firmware upgrade capabilities for high-volume environments. Administrators can now batch update thousands of cameras across models and manufacturers, and even across federations. Your system can also get firmware upgrades through Genetec Update Services.
Enhanced performance and stability
The Archiver agent now runs on 64-bit architecture, improving performance for larger workloads, high-resolution cameras, and large pre-event buffers. This supports more reliable system operation and video archiving at scale.
And more
We’ve made many more updates to streamline operations and improve visibility, display, and reporting. To get all the details, read the release notes here.
