AETEK offers a wide range of PoE Solutions for IP Video Surveillance applications.  
There are lots of scenarios where users need to manage their switches, cameras, and more IP devices. The integration with Genetec Security Center allows users to efficiently utilize more functions in our AETEK NTS, as known as Network Topology System. 
This system discovers and detects ONVIF supported devices, UPnP supported devices, PC, AETEK IP managed devices and so on…automatically. With the real time graphical overview of PoE network topology on NTS and the integration with Genetec Security Center, the installers and system integrators can easily manage and monitor their IP surveillance network and devices.  
If the users are having a bigger network, the NTS allows them to filter out different device type. 
Each device has its own dashboard, providing value-added functions, such as PoE config, diagnostics, PoE Reboot...  
With the integration with Genetec Security Center, below advantages can be more powerful, benefiting the customers. 

PoE Configuration 

• PoE Auto Checking: The devices are continually pinged to check their status and automatically rebooted if unresponsive, reducing labor cost and the need of site visits. 
• PoE Mode: Enable customers to manage the PoE output mode of each port, reducing installation fees and lower energy consumption. 
• Diagnostics, PoE Reboot: These functions allow users to check the connection and cable status remotely for quick
  troubleshooting and then manually reboot the device. 
  Monitor: Users can monitor the throughput and set the threshold and action once it is triggered. 

An example for reference, as customers might face a scenario of camera acting up. 

1. When there’s video loss on channels of Monitoring page in Genetec Security Center, the system will navigate you to the Alarm monitoring page. 
2. Log in the Web UI of the AETEK managed device. You can see the camera icon on the NTS topology view is highlighted in RED, indicated in the diagram on the right. 
3. Click the device icon and you can reach the dashboard.
4. Do diagnostics and PoE reboot to verify the cause, no matter PoE switch fail, cable broken, or camera died
5. After troubleshooting, customers can bring their network back to normal
6. All the events can be tracked through “Notification” function
