MIRA Fence Protection System (FPS) Overview

The MIRA Fence Protector System integration connects one or more MIRA FPS central units to Genetec Restricted Security Area (RSA) through a containerized Inter-System Gateway (ISG) driver. Each FPS is enrolled as an independent fence child device using its exact, stable UC_ID; validated alarm snapshots are normalized into RSA fence status, intrusion, fault, alarm, and restore events.

Main technical capabilities

  • Automatic multi-device enrollment by exact UC_ID, with deterministic Genetec DeviceId and per-device connectivity.
  • Outbound encrypted FPS snapshot ingestion over TCP with CIDR source allowlisting; default internal port 8090.
  • Compatibility polling through bounded plaintext TCP GET_ALARM for older FPS endpoints.
  • Five-second ISG heartbeat with independent connected, offline, warning, and intrusion state per child.
  • Sensitive-cable intrusions plus registered MIRA FPS Alarm, MIRA FPS Fault, and MIRA FPS Restore events, including ADC, ACC, and PCF hardware faults in driver 0.11.

Key Market Applicatrions

Remote facilities - Protect unmanned or remote sites, such as telecom towers or substations, from intrusion and vandalism. Magus FPS PRO provides early warning alarms and real-time monitoring, ensuring consistent security even in harsh weather conditions.

High security zones - Integrate Magus FPS PRO with CCTV cameras, PSIM platforms, and alarm systems to create a unified security network for large perimeters, enhancing situational awareness and response.

Features and Benefits

  • Sensitive cables, accelerometers, and video analytics integration.
  • Scalable design for several kilometers of coverage.
  • Compatibility with CCTV, PTZ cameras, and PSIM platforms.
  • Reliable performance in extreme weather.
  • High-accuracy intrusion detection with minimal false alarms.
  • Standalone functionality or system integration flexibility.
  • Quick installation and configuration.
  • Adaptable for diverse industries and applications.
  • Uninterrupted operation with reliable power options.
  • Detects intrusions with a resolution of 3 meters, ensuring precise localization of events.
  • Generates alarms for power interruptions, cable-cutting, or tampering with the system.
  • Operates reliably in extreme temperatures and adverse weather conditions.

Solution Architecture

Data flow and event model

Each FPS sends an outbound encrypted alarm snapshot to the Windows ISG driver on TCP 8090. The driver validates the bounded JSON payload, learns and stores the exact UC_ID, maintains deterministic per-source state, and publishes a status heartbeat every five seconds.

The driver authenticates to the Genetec ISG Gateway over HTTPS REST and publishes fence status, intrusion, and registered device events. Security Center/RSA represents the integration as one tracking system with independently connected fence child devices. Older units may use bounded GET_ALARM polling on the protected integration network.
