Protech/Sorhea Smart Bridge Solution Overview

Protech/Sorhea’s Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDS) utilize the MAXIBUS HUB or G-FENCE 2400 to forward detection events to the GENETEC VMS (Video Management System).  The “SmartBridge” is a plug-in interface software product allowing detection devices to signal alarm events to the GENETEC VMS.  This software interface is installed on the GENETEC VMS and acts as a bridge between the MAXIBUS HUB or G-FENCE 2400 and the GENETEC VMS.  With the “SmartBridge” interface it is possible to connect, up to 256 MAXIBUS HUBs or G-FENCE 2400 with numerous Protech/Sorhea PIDS and discover all the available events automatically.  Those events can then be configured in the GENETEC VMS as alarm events.
